8th Grade Algebra 1 Assignments

Work on your take home test. Due tomorrow. Points will be deducted for late assignments.

This is a take home test, due this Thursday 3/25. You must show all work. Each question is 10 points. In school students received a paper copy. Remote students submit via google classroom.

Follow the rubric to complete both pages of the google doc. In school students can submit electronically or in person (if easier to write out computations). Must be submitted or physically turned in by due date. This will count as a summative assessment for the 3rd Marking Period.

Pick a Thanksgiving item that you can draw. Indicate at least 4 key points (ordered pairs) on the figure on the coordinate plane. Perform a sequence of transformations (2 in all) on your object. Show the mapping from original to first image to the second image (you must show all coordinates). Make sure you indicate what your two transformations are and the order you are doing them. Decorate/color for Thanksgiving. Attach to this assignment.

This will be graded as a project for the second marking period. Follow the attached rubric.

Monday Nov. 23 Quiz on all transformations.

Khan Academy Assignment: Radicals

page 299 #1, 2, 4, 5, 17, 18 (Be careful, I skipped some questions).
Have a great weekend and study radical rules. Maybe a quiz or exit ticket next week.

Study for Chapter 1 Test(foundations of Algebra). Test is Monday! One period test (1st period).

page 8 #35-38. Show work - line by line in your notebook. You do not have to submit.

You may use scrap paper and your scientific calculator. Test must be submitted by 9:00 AM.
