June 4th is the last day to submit Flashcards if they were not submitted on 5/20.

May 24th is the deadline to recite the Padre Nuestro Prayer for the 4th quarter oral presentation.

Notebooks, workbooks and Early submission flashcards will be collected for grading

Subject Pronoun assessment will be given on 5/9.

Students will complete a Chapter assessment.  Students should review all topics covered this chapter.  Please review Sentence structure, definite and indefinite articles, Adjectives agreement and 1B vocabulary.

Students should complete workbook pages 29 and 30.  These are review pages that should be used to study for tomorrow's chapter assessment.  Remember to use all workbook pages labeled 1B when studying.  The Interactive activities are also great study tools and reminders of our 1B topics.  Do not forget to study the 1B vocabulary as well.

Any student who did not complete today's new vocabulary should be sure to do so for homework.  Complete workbook page 31.

Students will complete a sentence word order quiz.  Students will also have an adjective vocabulary match.

Students should be sure to review for tomorrow's sentence structure quiz.  Don't forget to review your adjectives.  JCD-0115 at PHSchool.com is a great activity to keep practicing your sentences.

Students should view these notes for tomorrow.  They can be saved in notability or they can be printed and glued into the notebook.  During class students completed an adjectives assessment and copied the new articles notes from page 60 in the TB.

Adjective assessment will be given to all 6th grade students.

Students should complete workbook page 25 and decorate their diamond poems for display.  Poems should be no smaller than a piece of loose leaf.  Have fun decorating.

Students in class completed activities 6, 7 and 8 from textbook pages 54,55 and 56.  Absentee students should be sure to complete all classworks.  Students were given a worksheet for homework.  Absent students should see me for their worksheet.

Students should view the posted notes and powerpoint.  Students should be sure to save these notes.

Students in class completed a vocabulary quiz and began presenting their orals presentations.  Students also completed activity 5 from TB page 54 in their notebooks. (write out the sentence in the NB)  For homework students will complete workbook page 23.

Students will be taking a vocabulary quiz on Thursday, 2/14.

Students will begin presenting their oral presentations on Thursday, 2/14.  Any students who did not receive the outline should see me as soon as possible.

Students need to be sure that all vocabulary from page 70 in the TB has been fully copied into their notebooks.  Students should use JCD-0199 to practice their audio at PHSchool.com.

Students will complete a chapter assessment that includes Infinitives, expressing agreement and disagreement, cognates and negatives.  Students should use their notebooks, workbooks and completed activities to study for their exam.

Students should be sure to complete workbook pages 20 and 21.  Don't forget about tomorrow's 1A assessment.

Students should view the posted prayer on google classroom.  Any students who did not go to PHschool.com and complete activities JCD-0101, 0102 or 0103 should do so when studying for Friday's exam!  Remember to study all notes and activities given and don't forget about the workbook pages (they are a great study tool!)

Today in class students completed a reading comprehension activity that will be graded.  Students also completed Activity 16 and 17 from page 37 (without a partner) writing out both questions and answers in the notebook. (Follow the models given) For Homework students should complete workbook pages 17 and 18.  We will review all workbook pages and activities during class next week in preparation for Friday's exam.

During class today students completed activity 8 from page 31 in the TB without partners.  Students wrote out both questions and answers individually.  Students also completed activity 9 from page 32 and activity 15 from page 36.  For homework, students will complete workbook page 16 and review their vocabulary for a reading comprehension activity that will be completed and graded in class tomorrow.

Students should complete workbook pages 14 and 15.

Students should view the new notes and glue them into the notebook.

Students were all given a Midterm review packet.  They are due completed when we return from Christmas break.

Students should be sure to finish any worksheets given in class.  Students should also define the vocabulary from the singular articles worksheet.

Students should be sure to complete the in class activities (2 and 3) from page 11 in the TB.  Students should also complete workbook page 6.

Students should have all bold blue words from page 10 in the textbook copied and defined in the notebook.  No assessment tomorrow.

Students should view these notes and read them thoroughly.  We will be working on the gender of nouns.  No assessment on 12/6.

Don't forget our brochures are due tomorrow. All students received their country 2 months ago. Students were given 50 days to complete the brochure. I look forward to seeing how all of the research has developed. In addition, tomorrow is also our Christmas fair. The 6th grade will be attending the fair from 11am - 12pm for all parents that would like to attend. Please bring cash. There are no ATM's at the school and credit cards will not be accepted.

Students will be completing a body vocabulary quiz on Thursday, 11/29.

Students should be sure to complete and classwork not finished.  Students copied the new body vocabulary from page 9 in the TB and the nouns box from page 11 into the notebook.  Students should also include el cuerpo-the body, el pelo-hair, las orejas-ears, los pies-feet, los hombros-shoulders, la rodilla-knee.  Students should also go to PHSchool.com using webcode JCD-0099 to practice the audio for el cuerpo.  Remember brochures are due on 11/30.

Students will be taking their time assessment on 11/16.  Students should remember to study the notes, powerpoint presentation, worksheets and most importantly the time examples completed in class and for homework.  Always remember to follow the formula for time.

Please be sure to complete the posted assignment.  It can be completed on notability however, it may be easier if it was printed and glued into the notebook.

Here is some extra time practice using menos.  Read through the notes and complete the practice problems.  

Students should be sure to complete the Time addition worksheet distributed in class.  Remember it will be collected and graded.

Students should be sure to have the Spanish times from the top of pg.8 in the TB written into the notebook if they did not have time to finish it during class.  Use the posted chapter on classroom to help you if necessary.  Students should also take a look at the posted notes and time powerpoint to prepare for tomorrow's class.  We will be discussing time is Spanish and we will be thoroughly reviewing all posted materials.  

Students will be taking a test on Numbers.  Remember spelling counts.

Students should complete the worksheets distributed in class and study for their numbers assessment.  Remember, do not glue in the spelling worksheet, it will be graded.

Flag Assignment:  The first part of our project is to create a flag of our chosen country.  This flag should identify the meanings of any colors represented and any symbols on the flag.  If a flag contains a symbol, that will be the only part of the flag that may be printed out and glued onto the flag.  You may also draw the symbol if you wish.  It may be not be smaller than a piece of looseleaf and may be as large as a piece of oaktag.  Be sure to decorate, they will be hung up!

Students should complete the distributed number spelling worksheet.  This worksheet will be graded, do not glue it into the notebook.

Students should check out the travel brochure instructions for our next project.

Students should be sure to copy the number notes into their notebook from our posted chapter.  Many students have done so already.  Students should also complete activity 8.  Students should use Spanish number words to complete the sequences in activity 8.

Check out the powerpoint and notes on numbers to be prepared for our next class meeting.

Students should use the posted Comic Strip to assist them in creating their own comic strip.  Students may create their using construction paper or digitally.  Be sure to stick with our vocabulary. Remember to decorate they will be displayed throughout the hallways.

Students will be completing their Greetings assessment.  Students should study all vocabulary covered this year in addition to the formal and informal.

Students should complete the review worksheets handed out in class.  Glue them into the Notebook when completed.  During class students used TB page 6 to answer the questions on workbook page 3.  The new vocabulary from page 6 is usable for flashcards and the comic strip.

Students should be sure to complete workbook page 2.

All junior high students should check out the project link on my webpage for flashcard instructions.  We will be discussing flashcards in class.  Remember to keep your flashcards at home until flashcard check at the end of each quarter.

Students should complete wb page 1 in the workbook.  Make sure that your workbook os covered in contact paper.

Students will complete their first vocabulary quiz using vocabulary from vocabulary for starters.  Students are only responsible for the first 3 sections.  6th grade vocabulary is posted on the website and the posted chapter can be found on google classroom.  Students also have the vocabulary written into their notebooks.

Students should continue to translate the conversations from TB page 2 into the notebook.  Continue to practice audio at PHSchool.com using web-code JCD-0099.  The chapter is posted on google classroom.

All students should be sure to download the NWEA testing app for map testing tomorrow.
