For tomorrow's Quiz:
- We ran out of time while I was going over the 6th questions which will be a short-response question.
- The 6th question will be to describe some ways the environment shaped Egyptian culture.
             Answer: The Nile River gave Egyptians the ability to grow enough food. The river formed a communication and trade pathway for northern and southern Egypt.
- One of the multiple-choice questions is asking the source of the Nile River. The source of the Nile river is the blue Nile and the White Nile.

Holiday Break Assignment: Open Book Test
- Read pages 170- 181 in your e-books. The topic is Ancient Judaism.
- After reading complete the test that is attached. It is due on Friday, January 4th.
- You can attach your answers to google classroom or you can print it out and hand it in on the due date. If you print it out all you have to hand in is the answer sheets for the matching, multiple choice questions and the sheet for the extended response questions. Please do not print out the entire test.

Homework: The City of Babylon
- Students will complete a worksheet on the city of Babylon.
- There is an activity at the bottom of the page where students will choose one of the four topics from the chart and explain its impact on Babylon and the Persian empire. This part should be completed on a separate piece of paper.
- The assignment will be collected Wednesday, December 5th.

Group Assignment: Rebuilding Babylon
- Groups will create restoration plan for the city of Babylon by creating projects in the areas of (1) Building Projects, (2) government, (3) Currency,  and (4) Art.
- Groups will plan projects in the previously mentioned areas. For example, a group will come up with a project concerning building something like a government building, bridge, roadway, or anything else a group may come up that would serve and improve the city.
- Groups will present their projects to the class and explain how their projects would improve in the city of Babylon.

- Students will imagine that they have no access to any form of technology for one day and write about it.
- From when they wake up to when they go to sleep, students will describe what they did, and how they got through a day without the use of any technology.
- Students are expected to use details and specifics about their day.
- This assignment should be about a page long, and will be collected on Wednesday, October 3rd.

9/10/18- Newspaper Article
- Students are to create a newspaper article based off of the information on the hand-out sheet titled, "Spread the News."
- Students will choose information off the hand-out to report on a scientific discovery that was made by an anthropologist about early humans.
- Student's finish assignment should be in the format of a newspaper article with a headline, text, and text features.
- This assignment is due Friday September 14th.
