You are imagining you have a paper bag in front of you. You took a sheet of paper and wrote the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 on the paper and cut each one out. Now you place each paper in the paper bag. Part A asks, What is the probability you will pick the paper with the 5 on it. Since there is only one paper with a 5 on it out of the 10 papers in the bag, the probability is 1/10. Now place A on the number line where 1/10 would fall closest to what number? You can use the decimal 0.01 also. That might be easier than the fraction. Now fill in A and go ahead and do the rest! You got this!

Quiz#3 On Wednesday - Chapter 4 No Calculator  Go over the review questions we did in class.  

On Tuesday October 22, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will be traveling to the Bronx Zoo.   Please be aware that we will be leaving school promptly at 8:00 AM so if you are a chaperone please meet us at the Golden Doors by 7:50 AM. All students, including children of chaperones, must report to homeroom at regular time.   We are taking a charter bus and plan to arrive at the Zoo by approximately 10:00 am. Students will tour the zoo with their assigned chaperone and group. We will depart the Zoo at 3:00 pm. We anticipate arriving back at school at approximately 4:30.   Students are to wear their gym uniforms (no shorts) which will help us to easily spot our kids in a crowd of other school groups.   Students must bring a bag lunch, snack, and drink - no glass bottles please.   They can also bring breakfast or a snack to eat on the bus.  Students are allowed to bring money should they want to purchase a souvenir at the gift shop.   We are NOT responsible for any lost or (damaged) cell phones or money.
