Foreign Language 2019-2020-7-1 Assignments

Please complete workbook pages 56 and 57. Please have your workbook ready to review on Thursday. Remember an invitation for our live stream will be sent on Thursday morning. We will meet at 11am.

On Thursday during our live session we discussed today's workbook page. You may need to reference last week's live session for a reminder. Please complete workbook page 55. We will review the workbook page on Thursday during this weeks session. We will be meeting at 11am. An invitation will follow on Thursday morning.

Remember that the Hail Mary (Ave Maria) is the oral project for the 4th quarter. Students will create a video of themselves reciting the Ave Maria in Spanish or students can recite their prayer live during our live streams on Thursday, 5/28 or 6/4. I will be listening for pronunciation and fluidity. You can attach your video here.

Students should use this time to practice their prayer for the 4th quarter oral presentation. https://youtu.be/SBe1gcKFHvc  Many students have already presented their prayer.  If you would like to submit your prayer while we virtually learning you can record yourself reciting the prayer and email it to me.

Step one: Add the new posted vocabulary to the existing food vocabulary in your notebook. Use the posted workbook page 49 to check your answers in the wb. Show evidence of correction. (submitting a picture not necessary)

Step two: View the Posted zoom notes on modifying nouns using "de". Take notes in your notebook. These will help you with your menu.

Homework: Students will create a menu using our current vocabulary only. Please view the zoom recording for a detailed explaination of your menu. Your menu is due 1 week from today. I have also posted instuctions without a recording. Feel free to ask any questions.

-Complete steps 1 and 2 today. The menu will be submitted in one week.

Classwork:
Today we will be working on Activities 1 and 2 from page 125 in chapter 3A. View the posted Video for the activities to get proper directions. Use the posted google forms answer sheets to record you answers. Once all activities have been submitted, I will return the grades to you. Listen and read carefully. Activities 1and 2 listening activities. Use web code JCd-0387. The code is found on the video instructions.

Homework: Students should work on wb. page 49 and complete the interactive vocabulary activity at PHSchool.com using web code JCD-0301.

Please make sure that all necessary assignments posted this week were properly returned.  Students should have complete activity 19 (which has 2 parts, please make sure that you submitted both part 1 and 2), the chapter 2 B assessment, and Activity 3 answer sheet.  All of these assignments will be graded.  I will keep updating SIS as well.  We will be working with our new 3A vocabulary next week so please make sure that it is in the NB.  The 3A chapter is posted on classroom.  Make sure that you are reading all posts from teachers and students.  Students comments are equally as important to read because it allows for student interaction.  I have been sending private messages to those who owe assignments.  I know this is an adjustment period so keep doing your best and ask questions whenever you need to.  Enjoy the weekend.

Flashcards will be collected on 3/18!

Last week in class students copied the new vocabulary from chapter 3A into the NB. Be sure that the new vocabulary has been written into the NB. Students should read and listen to the Videohistoria from page 126 and 127. Use webcode Jcd-0387 at PHSchool.com to access the audio.

For homework: Students should answer activity 3 from page 127. Use the posted google form to provide your responses. It will be graded as a HW.

Students should complete the posted assessment and use the google forms attachment to record answers. Please complete today. Grades will be posted to SIS as soon as possible.

2B unit assessment will be given on 3/17.

Please submit activity 19 here with both questions and and answers for each question starter from the purple box.

Students received their new vocabulary.  a quiz should be given on or about the 31st of March and will be the 1st quiz of the 4th quarter.  This vocabulary will NOT be on the 2B assessment on the 17th.

Students will complete an assessment on the plurals on nouns.

Students should complete the worksheet distributed today in class.  It will be collected and graded.  This will help prepare you for tomorrow's assessment.

Please complete the worksheets distributed in class for classwork and homework.  Absentee students should come to see me for them before the end of the week.

Print out and read the new notes for the plurals of nouns.

Conjugation test on the verb Estar.  Accent marks will count.

Please print and glue into notebook when completed.

Remember the 2B writing assignment will be collected on Wednesday in addition to the Estar Graphic organizer.  A graphic organizer should also be glued into the notebook for reference.  Remember that notebooks and workbooks will be checked as well.  We have been going over the necessary items needed for NB check during EVERY class.  Remember that the notebook checklist is posted to the website for continuous reference.  We will review wb page 44 on Thursday.  All assignments are posted to google classroom.

Complete the Estar print out to decorate and hang for display.  It will be graded.

Students should create sentences using the posted materials. These sentences will be presented to the class.

Students should work on workbook pages 40 and 41

Complete wb pages 38 and 39.  Make sure workbooks are ready for checking.

Complete the additional ar verb practice. Remember we have an in class exam on Tuesday, 1/14.

Students should create their own graphic organizers.  Students should choose -ar verbs to conjugate to create their own graphic organizers to accommodate their own learning process.  Use previously reviewed graphic organizers and charts to create something unique.  Remember to use different colors.  Organizers should not be smaller than computer paper or larger than poster board. These will be displayed.

Do to scheduled Map testing and change in the schedule any student who did not present the pen pal reply or complete the -ar verb conjugation quiz will be able to complete all necessary assignments tomorrow last period. Make sure that you have your self created graphic organizers in your notebooks for the quiz.

Please complete the posted break assessment.  The Midterm review packet is posted to google classroom. Print this out. It will be graded.

Students should create a graphic organizer of their own to use during tomorrow's -ar verb quiz.  Use graphic organizers and verb charts from class to help you.

Students should complete the posted worksheet and submit to classroom for grading.

Students should be sure to complete activities 14 and 16 in the NB.  Please make sure that sentences are written fully.  All students should also be sure to review their submitted pen pal letters.  We will be presenting them in class.

Complete the negatives worksheet.  Dont forget to translate the sentences.

Students should submit the email that was worked on in class and finished at home. Use Tb page 66 and 67 to help you.

Students will submit their completed sentences from activity 7.

Students should view the posted powerpoint presentations and remember that notebooks, workbooks, and flashcards will be collected.  We should be ready for Monday.  Don't forget to review the ordinal numbers.  Never know when a reading comprehension activity will pop up.

Students will complete a vocabulary quiz using the 2A VOCABULARY.

Students should complete the vocabulary from page 96 in the TB and complete the distributed worksheet.  The worksheet will be collected and graded.

Students will be taking a vocabulary quiz on -ar verbs.  Students should use their notebooks to study.

Please define the words from today's classwork.  We will have a quiz on Tuesday 10/15.

Please print the notes and glue them into the notebook.  Please read the notes thoroughly.  Find a connection between the conjugation process and subject pronouns. 

Please complete the distributed worksheet and glue into the notebook.

Students should use the distributed subject pronoun packet distributed in class to answer the practicamos page.  Pleas glue all pages into the notebook and view the posted ppt.

Copy the Subject pronoun notes from page 82.

Students will create Adjectives Ice Cream Scoops.  Students will describe themselves using adjectives with soy and no soy.  Please decorate each project.  They will be hung in the hallway for display.  Directions were discussed in class.

Students should be sure to study for tomorrow's review assessment.  Remember that the assessment will cover everything that we have reviewed and listed in class.  Students should use the the topics listed in their notebooks and the notes taken.  Students may also use the posted chapters 1A and 1B in addition to the posted adjectives and gender notes.  Students who diligently take good notes will be very prepared for tomorrow's assessment.

Vocabulary quiz will be given on 9/17.

Students should continue to review past vocabulary to prepare for this year.  Use the posted vocabulary.

Students should be sure to complete the vocabulary in the notebook.  Use the posted PDF.

All students should check the label on the new chromebooks to ensure that names are correct.
