- Students are going to write a persuasive letter to President Woodrow Wilson. The purpose of the letter is to either convince President Wilson to enter into World War I, or you can also choose to convince him to not get the U.S. involved with the war.

- Today we will be starting a new section in the World War I chapter. This section is based on three main things; America entering the war, important events of the war, and then how the war came to an end with a harsh armistice for the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire)

- Students will be expected to be prepared with the second section of the Reconstruction chapter. This will carry a classwork grade out of ten points. Everyday a student is not prepared with their PowerPoint presentation print-out they will lose one point off the final grade.
- Students are expected to follow along with the section and presentation with their own print-out. They are also encouraged to take notes on their print-outs.

5- What direction did Grant’s career take after the Civil War ended?

-Answer the questions and then attach your work to google classroom. This assignment will be graded as a class work assignment and it is due by the end of class.

- Groups will work together to present a important battle that took place during the Civil War.
- Each member of their group will have to show the teacher their individual contribution to the project on Tuesday, December 10. Each student will receive a grade for this project based off of their individual contribution and their performance during the presentation.
- Groups will follow the following key areas to research and base their presentation off of:
1- Analysis of the battle- strategies used by each side/ how one side was able to win the battle
2- Location of the battle- Use visuals like pictures and maps to show where the battle took place. Any significance related to the battles location.
3- Major Players- Who are the famous military leaders who took part in the battle?/ how did they impact the battle overall?
4- Significance of the battles outcome.- Was this an important battle to decide the entire war?/ Why was this an important battle?

- Group presentations will begin on Wednesday, December 11th. This project will graded as a test.

- Watch the video of the first battle of the Civil War and then answer the questions that are attached.

- This assignment is due on Monday, November 18th.
- Attached is an article on the Fugitive Slave Act that can help students with their editorial.

- Students should use the rubric that was handed out to help them write their editorial. This assignment will be graded based off of that rubric. The rubric is attached below.

- Their lives and goals
- Results of their revolt
