Dance Discovery Club *NEW*
Club Description
Dance Discovery Club is an engaging afterschool dance program designed to introduce young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz. Through structured instruction and creative movement, dancers will develop coordination, musicality, confidence, and an appreciation for dance in a fun and supportive environment.
Participants will:
- Learn foundational ballet technique focusing on posture, balance, and control
- Explore basic tap rhythms and timing
- Practice introductory jazz movements emphasizing energy and expression
- Participate in age-appropriate movement activities and dance games
- Build listening skills, teamwork, and performance confidence
Shoes & Attire Requirements:
- Tap shoes required- Velcro or easy strap closure strongly recommended
- Ballet shoes or jazz shoes
- Comfortable dance attire - gym uniform may be worn on Tuesdays if participating
