6-2 Spanish Assignments

Students should bring in art supplies to create an aztec mask.  Students will need construction paper, glue stick, markers or crayons and tape.  Optional items include feathers, jewels or glitter pens but no glitter.

Students should be sure to finish completing activity 4 and 5 from page 104 in the TB.  Use the posted chapter to help you.

Students will be sure to complete wb page 40.  Any students who did not finish activity 3 from TB page 103 should do so for homework.  Use the posted chapter to help you.

Pinatas due!

Students will be taking the Spanish and Religion final on 5/29.  Students will also be responsible for handing in their 4th quarter flashcards.

Notebooks and workbooks will be graded.  Final exam packets must be completed and ready for review.

Students should be prepared for their 2A chapter assessment.

6th Grade should be sure to have their Final exam review packets completed and ready for review.

Keep working on Review packets.

Students should complete wb pages 38 and 39.

Students will be completing their -ar verb test.  Be sure to study workbook pages 35-37, -ar verb vocabulary, subject pronouns and the conjugation process.

-ar verb TH assessment is due.

Students should be sure to have wb page 37 completed.  It will be reviewed during class.

Students should complete wb page 37.  Students should also be sure to translate the sentences from our classwork worksheet.

Students will be taking an -ar verb vocabulary quiz.  Please complete the posted -ar verb chart and take note of the additional verbs.  Be sure to study all ar verb vocabulary worksheets.

Be sure to complete workbook page 36.

Please view the posted ppt. presentations.  6-2 students who were absent on 4/20 should write each -ar verb with definition into their notebook 5 times each from their -ar verb vocabulary page given in class on Wednesday 4/18 and Thursday 4/19. 6-1 students should complete this assignment for homework.  Be sure to write both the Spanish and English.  6-2 students should also be sure to have activity 14 completed and written out in the notebook.  Use the posted chapter to help you.

Students should check out the Pinata project information.

Students should be sure to complete activity 14 from page 85 in the textbook.

Students will be completing a subject pronoun test.  Students will be replacing the subject noun with the proper pronoun.  Students in 6-2 should be sure to complete their distributed worksheet and glue in the new -ar verb vocabulary worksheet.

Students should be sure to have the posted notes read and glued into the notebook.  Any students who did not complete the ar verb notes from page 84 in the textbook should be sure to do so.

Students should complete the distributed worksheet.  I have posted it below for absentees.

Students will be taking a quiz on the meanings of the new subject pronouns.

Class 6-2 should be sure to complete the notes from page 84 in the TB and complete wb page 35.

Be sure to complete the word search distributed in class.

Pilgrimage essays are due.  Remember size 12 times new roman font.  In addition, Students should be sure to have all complete subject pronoun worksheets glued into the notebook.  Students should also complete the Subject pronouns - Spanish to English worksheet in anticipation of our quiz that will be given when we return.

Map of Spain for pilgrimage project.  Be sure to decorate the map for display.  The Map should correspond with your stops throughout Spain.

  Complete and glue in the posted worksheet.  In addition, students should complete wb page 33 and 34.

Students should be researching St. James and the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.  Project details are posted.

Students should print, complete and glue the posted worksheet into the notebook.  Students may also write the worksheet.

Notebooks, workbooks and flashcards will be collected for grading. Students will also be taking their 2A vocabulary quiz.  2A vocabulary words can be used for 4th quarter flashcards.  In addition, students should complete wb pages 31 and 32.

 

Absentee students from both classes should also complete the work done in class.  Students should copy the new notes from page 82 in the textbook and complete activities 11 and 12 from page 83.

Students should print out all new subject pronoun notes.  Be sure to view the posted power point.

Students will be completing a chapter assessment that will include all topics included in 1B.  Be sure to study all 1B workbook pages and notes.

We will be reviewing workbook pages 29 and 30.  Please make sure that these pages are complete and ready for review.

Students should be sure to finish writing the new 2A vocabulary into the notebook.

Students will have a quiz on word order.  Use the necessary notes and workbook pages to study.

Students should complete wb pages 29 and 30.

Students should complete the distributed worksheet and glue into the notebook.  Make sure to study for tomorrow's test.

Students will return a take home quiz using definite and indefinite articles.

Students should print out or write out the following worksheet into their notebook's.  In addition, student's should also complete the articles worksheet distributed in class.  Student's should also be sure to glue in all worksheets distributed during classwork.

Students should view the posted power point presentation and print out the articles notes and glue them into the NB.

Students should be sure to complete wb page 27 in addition to the distributed articles worksheet titled "En la clase".

Diamond poem is due.  Be sure that is decorated for display.  Students should use the diamond poem "Soy Elena" from page 59 in the TB as a template.  Students should also use the worksheet completed in class to help them describe themselves.  Worksheet 1 was distributed in class on Monday the 5th.  

Any students who did not finish today's classwork should do so for HW.  Definite and Indefinite articles notes from page 60 in the TB should be copied into the notebook. (Use the posted chapter).  Complete activities 17 and 18 from page 61.  Activities should be written out in full sentences in the NB.  Students completed the posted worksheet after the adjectives exam.  Be sure to glue into the NB when completed.

Students will be completing an assessment on Spanish adjectives and gender.  Be sure to complete any distributed worksheets.

Complete workbook page 26.  Absentee students should complete activity 7 from page 55 and review past assignments to make sure that all makeup work is completed.  

Workbook pages 24 and 25 should be completed.  Any student who did not complete today's in class worksheet should do so for HW.  Please be sure to have activities 5 and 6 from chapter 1B completed and in the notebook.  Make sure to write full sentences. 

Students will be taking the 1B vocabulary quiz.

Both classes should complete workbook pages 22 and 23 and view the posted power point and print or write the posted adjectives notes.  Don't forget to study for tomorrow's vocabulary quiz.

 

Absentee students should be sure to complete the classwork Activities.  Complete Adjective notes from page 55 and complete activities 5 and 6 from page 54.  Be sure to write out all sentences. 

Please review the Hail Mary in Spanish.  We will begin to recite the prayer during Catholic schools week.

Students should be sure copy all new vocabulary from page 70 (1B vocabulary) into their notebooks.  Be sure to practice the new audio with webcode JCD-0199 at PHSchool.com.

Students will be taking the 1A assessment.  Study all 1A vocabulary, workbook pages and corresponding activities.

6th grade students will complete the 1A chapter assessment.

All junior high students will be taking their Spanish Midterm.  Be sure to study the distributed review packets, workbook pages, notebooks and flashcards.  

Be sure to study the distributed review packets, workbook pages, notebooks and flashcards in preparation for our Midterm.  Workbook pages 1-12 should be studied in addition to all the returned tests from quarter 1 and 2.  Do not forget the Formal and informal (tu vs. usted), Time and the formula for time, Writing the dates in Spanish, the gender of nouns, and singular articles el and la and how they are used.  Everything covered before chapter 1A will be on the Midterm.  Please write down any questions that you may have so that we may address them during review.

Students will be taking their infinitives upon returning to school.  Students should focus on the Infinitives from our 1A vocabulary and workbook pages.  Students will categorize infinitives from our lessons and identify their meanings.  Remember spelling counts!

Notebooks and workbooks will be collected and graded at our next class session due to the snow day on 1/5.  All materials should still be ready for submission.  Flash cards will be collected from both classes on 1/8.

Complete all wb pages up to page 21.

Midterm review packets should be completed and ready for review when we return from the holiday break.

Students should use the posted chapter to copy the negatives notes grammar box from page 36 and complete activity 15 page 36. (Write out the activity in the notebook) Students should also copy the Expressing agreement and disagreement grammar box from page 38. Complete workbook page 18.

Any student who did note finish today's notes should do so using the posted chapter 1A.  Copy Infinitives notes page 32 and Strategy box page 33.  Copy Cognates notes page 34 with the strategy box also on page 34.  Activity 9 from page 32 should be completed in the notebook and workbook pages 16 and 17 should also be completed.

Students will be taking the vocabulary quiz with our new 1A chapter.  Students should remember to keep making their flashcards and practice pronunciation using new code JCD-0189.

Any student who did not finish writing and translating the quotes from pages 28 and 29 should do so before our next class meeting.  All Quotations from pages 28 and 29 should be copied and translated in the notebook.  Activity 5 from page 30 should also be completed and sentences should be written out.  The posted notes should also be printed or written into the notebook and ready for review.  Students who did not finish the classwork or absent students should use the posted textbook chapter 1A to complete the assignment.

Students should be sure to finish any vocabulary from page 46.  All vocab should be written in the notebook.  Complete workbook page 13.  Practice pronunciation using new audio code JCD-0189 at PHSchool.com.

Complete the distributed worksheet and glue into the notebook.  Make sure to study for tomorrow's weather and season quiz.

Don't forget that the brochure project is due on 12/6.

Students should complete workbook pages 10-12.

Don't forget to bring lunch tomorrow.  We have our scheduled trip and we will not be back in time to get lunch.  The cafeteria will be closed when we return.

Students should be sure to have all weather words and seasons defined in the notebook.  All workbook pages to page 8 should be completed at this point.  Students should also be practicing their pronunciation using JCD-0099 at PHSchool.com.  Any student who did not finish activity 2 from TB page 19 should do so.  Use the posted chapter.

Students will take our dates test that will include numbers, the days of the week and the months with additional vocabulary on 11/30.

Students should complete workbook page 8 and finish any incomplete worksheet distributed in class.

Students should complete the take home assessment for the days of the week.  A copy has been posted just in case any student has misplaced it.

Students should complete the distributed crossword puzzle.

Students will be taking a vocabulary quiz on the remainder of page 22 vocabulary.  The weather vocabulary will not be included.

Students should study for our vocabulary quiz, complete wb page 7 and the distributed days of the week worksheet.

Students should finish defining all new vocabulary from page 14 in the TB if they have not done so during classwork.  (all bold blue vocabulary including the months and days of the week)

Students should print out the notes for the days of the week and the months.

Students should study for tomorrow's Gender test and use web code JCD-0099 at PHSchool.com to practice their audio for the letters of the alphabet. 

Class 6-2 should also complete the distributed worksheet.  Don't forget to translate each one for part B.  Any student that did not finish the vocabulary should make sure to finish it for homework.

Complete wb page 6 and remember Notebooks, workbooks and flashcards.  All students need to be sure to read the posted notes.

Students will be given a quiz on the new body vocabulary on 11/2.

Students should be reviewing for their body quiz this Thursday, 11/2 and remember that notebooks, workbooks and flashcards are due on Friday, 11/3.

Don't forget to study for our body quiz on 11/2.  Students should print, read and glue in new notes for our next topic, Gender of nouns.  The grammar tutorial for this topic has also been posted.  We will view it in class as well.

Students should be sure to finish the classwork.  Write each vocabulary word 5 times in Spanish and 2 times in English.  Make sure to include the new vocabulary given in class. (los hombros- shoulders, la rodilla-knee, la oreja-ear, el pelo-hair and el cuerpo-body).  Students should also be sure have the time test signed and corrected and returned at our next class meeting.

Students should be prepared for their test on Spanish time on 10/26.  Glue the returned take home time assessment into the notebook.

Students should complete the take home assessment distributed in class.  Students should also be sure to complete and worksheets distributed for classwork and glue them into the notebook.  Test corrections should be returned by Monday.

Students should complete the classwork worksheet distributed in class and wb page 4 section B.  Be sure to view the power point for time.

Be sure to view the time powerpoint for and introduction to our next lesson.  Students should also print, read and glue in the posted notes.

Make sure to study your numbers for the Spanish numbers test tomorrow.  Remember spelling counts!

Students should have their test signed and corrected and returned on Tuesday.  I will hold all tests until the midterm exam.  Students should also complete the distributed numbers worksheet.  The numbers test will be given on 10/12.

On Thursday 10/5 students will be given a Number spelling homework that will be due on 10/6.  It will be collected and graded.  Students should always be practicing pronunciation with our audio files and consistently making flash cards.

Students should use the weekend to practice pronunciation with the audio codes and create flash cards.  Our next test will be on 10/12.

Please see the Flag assignment link for project directions.  Students should be sure to know what any colors and/or symbols on the flag may represent.

Students who did not view the posted ppt. or print number notes for our upcoming topic should do so by tomorrow.  If a student does not have ink they should write out the notes in their notebook and properly label them.

Students should be checking the website every night regardless of email subscription.  Past assignments may be edited.

Students should remember that our first test will be given on Thursday 9/28.  Students should also print out our number notes and view the number powerpoint in preparation of our next topic.

Please be sure to write the vocabulary from Vocabulary for starters into the notebook.  Use the 6th grade vocabulary link to access the vocab.  Only copy the left hand side of the 1st page.  Be sure to cover the distributed workbooks with contact paper.

All classes should print out the Hail Mary from the website and glue to the inside cover of the Spanish notebook.

Please be sure to bring back any necessary signed forms and have workbooks covered in contact paper.
