2024 Mr. Hansen honored with Patrick F. Daly Award

St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary School is honored and thrilled to share that our very own, Principal Lawrence Hansen, was chosen to receive the 2024 Patrick F. Daly Award along with former Tottenville High School Assistant Principal David LaMorte (awarded posthumously) by the Staten Island Borough President Vito J. Fossella. Mr. Hansen was so honored to be recognized as one of Staten Island’s outstanding educators in memory of Patrick F. Daly, who left a legacy of service to the community, steadfast commitment to his students, and leadership.

SJHA Elementary School is Where Tradition Meets Innovation. We provide a premier, co-ed Catholic education from Pre-K 3 through 8th Grade with an 11:1 student-teacher ratio; an award-winning Junior High STEM program; an evidence-based early literacy program; state-of-the-art collaborative learning technology and spaces. We offer nearly 20 after school clubs including and an extensive athletics program.

The mission of St. Joseph Hill Academy, a Roman Catholic elementary school founded by the Daughters of Divine Charity, is to make God’s love visible in the world by empowering its students with a rigorous education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ where Catholic doctrine and values prepare each student for a life of faith, service, and openness to life-long learning.
