January 2022

Dear Parent/Guardian:

It is with pleasure that I invite you to re-register your child for the 2022-2023 school year. To re-register please complete both sides of the enclosed registration form. This year's re-registration form is due by January 21, 2022. Please click on the link to fill out your registration form. https://payit.nelnet.net/form/mLNoqnMm By filling out the registration form you are authorizing SJHA to withdraw the $225.00 registration fee on February 25, 2022.
If there are any changes to your FACTS registration, fill out the attached preference form and return it to the main office. This year we have limited financial aid available. You can apply on the FACTS website under the Grant and Aid tab.

During the last school year we were able to accomplish many wonderful projects that have enhanced the learning taking place within our school. New technology, including Chromebooks and laptops were purchased for our students and teachers and interactive whiteboards were installed in six classrooms to replace outdated Smartboards. Funds were also used for the purchase of flexible seating, manipulatives and leveled reading books. Additionally, teachers were provided with opportunities for professional development and we continued to receive assistance from our Blended Learning and Technology coach. All of this was accomplished with the dedicated support of our Board of Trustees. Information about tuition and fees can be found on the reverse side of this letter.

I am sincerely grateful to each of you, as parents, for entrusting the education and spiritual formation of your children to St. Joseph Hill Academy. I look forward to continuing to partner with you in this mission of education.

Respectfully,

Mr. Hansen
Principal

Important information

Many families have requested remote learning for this week as they are concerned over the spike in positive cases of Covid 19 in NYC. Though remote learning is not an option, if you choose for students to remain home, out of an abundance of caution, they can keep up with their work on Google Classroom and SeeSaw. Please email their teachers to let them know if they will remain home this week. There are no clubs this week. We will have after care Monday through Wednesday. There is no after care Thursday. No student should attend school, after school sports, clubs or events, if they or a family member residing in their home has a pending test. Please make sure you thoroughly read the COVID reopening guidelines for quarantine information concerning positive cases for students and close contact protocols.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 21st we will have a Comfy Cozy Hill Pajama Day. Students who choose not to participate may wear their Hill Gym Sweatpants and Christmas Carnival Shirt. No slippers or slides.
Wednesday, December 22rd we will have our annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Students who choose not to participate can wear their Hill Gym Sweatpants and Christmas Carnival Shirt.
Thursday, December 23rd red and green day dress down and bagel breakfast. Students should wear something that is red and/ or green.
