- How to identify atoms and molecules
- What gases make up the atmosphere
- Examples of air pollution
- Causes of air pollution
- Characteristics of solids, liquids, and gases
- Density; states of matter in order of density
- How heat affects states of matter and density
- Phase changes
- IV and DV; constants
- Heat and Temperature

Due:
Complete the entire worksheet of "What is the air made up of and in what percentages?" This will be collected tomorrow in class. There is nothing to submit on Google Classroom. Utilize the article "What gases make up the air we breathe?" It is located on Google Classroom.
Due:
Complete the first two sections of the hand-out that was given to you today in class "What is the air made up of and in what percentages?" First complete the section that says "Observations: Fan Your Face" on page 1. You will answer the four bulleted questions that follow after fanning your face with your hand. Some classes were able to do this in class today. If you did not do it in class, you are able to carry out this portion at home.
Then access the article "What Gases Make-up the Air We Breathe?" and fill in the table on page 2 of the worksheet. After you complete the table, make the pie chart on page 3.
You do not need to do the section on Pollution. This will be completed in class next week.
There is nothing to submit on GoogleClassroom. This will be checked in class on the papers you were given.
If you have questions, please email me.

Please complete the handout "Unit 1: What is Matter Made Up Of?" All pages except page 3 should be completed, as discussed in class. For the last page, the following vocabulary works should be included: matter, atom, element, molecule, substance. This will be collected in class. There is nothing to submit on GoogleClassroom.
