8-1 Spanish Assignments

Flashcards will be collected.

Children's book project is due.

Notebooks and workbooks should be ready for grading.  We will also begin reviewing the final exam packet.

Students need to turn in their 7B chapter assessments.

Students will complete a direct object pronoun test.

Direct object take home assessment is due.

Complete wb pages 137 and 138.

Students will be completing a quiz using the -gar and -car ending in the preterite.

Students should be sure to complete any assignment not completed earlier in the week in addition to workbook page 136.

Students should be sure to complete the worksheet distributed in class.  Glue into the notebook.

View the posted notes and complete the worksheet.

Students should be sure to copy the new notes from page 360 in the TB.  Students should also complete wb page 135.

Students will complete an exam using the preterite tense of the verb and the new verb endings.  8-2 students will also begin presenting the paragraphs that were due on Friday.

8-2 Complete the distributed worksheets. (pages are numbers 93 and 94)

Be sure to have workbook page 135 completed.

Students will complete the preterite take home assessment in addition to the written oral.  Students should be prepared to present their paragraph.  Students should also use the template provided to them to create their paragraph.  Students should see me with any additional questions.

Complete the worksheet given in class.  (Page 93)

All students should be sure to have the car and gar notes from page 356 in the Tb and activity 15 completed.

Over the weekend students should take the time to review the Children's book project instructions.  Students should take note of the due date.

Students will complete a vocabulary quiz using the reviewed -ar verbs.

Students aquired new notes for the preterite tense from page 354.  Students also completed activity 12 from page 354 and part 1 of activity 5 from page 350 (full sentences).  For homework students should copy and define all -ar verbs found in the green box.  Use the posted Chapter to complete any activities not completed during class time.

When we return we will be beginning the Spanish preterite tense.  Students should print out the posted notes and view the powerpoint presentations.  In addition, students should be sure to complete wb pages 132 and 133.  Remember that 133 may be a bit challenging. 

 

Students who were absent should be sure to copy the 1st 2 boxes from page 351 and complete activity 8 from page 352.  Use the posted chapter.  Enjoy the break.

Students will be taking their 7B vocabulary quiz.

Students will begin presenting their dialogues with their partners.

Students will be taking their demonstrative adjective exam.

Students should complete the assigned worksheets.

Students who did not finish the new notes from page 332 should the complete the notes and complete activity 17.  Use the posted chapter.  Students should also complete wb page 126 and print or write the posted notes into the notebook.

Students will complete their e:ie stem changing assessment.

Students will be completing a stem changing vocabulary quiz.  Use the e:ie stem changing vocabulary from the posted notes due on the 9th.  In addition, students should be sure to complete the posted stem changing worksheets and translate the sentences from page 3 in the stem changing packet.

Any students who was absent or did not have the opportunity to copy the e:ie stem changing notes from TB 330 should do so for HW.  In addition, all students should have activity 15 from TB page 331 completed in the NB.  Students should also be using the new stem changing vocabulary to create flashcards.

Complete wb page 125.  Any student who did not complete the classwork worksheet on stem changers should do so by our next class meeting.  Absent students should see me to make up their numbers assessment.

Students will be complete an assessment on Spanish numbers.  Students should study all notes, worksheets and workbook pages that covered numbers.

Students should have these notes and worksheets printed and glued into the notebook by Friday.  

Be sure to complete the distributed numbers worksheets.  Any students who has not presented their dialogues will be expected to do so.

Students should be sure to complete workbook pages 123 and 124.  Students should also be prepared for their reading comprehension exam.  Be sure to study all clothing vocabulary.  Students should also complete any worksheets not completed in class.

Be sure to review numbers 0-100 for our next lesson.

Please review the Hail Mary in Spanish.  We will begin to recite the prayer during Catholic schools week.

7A vocabulary

Students have been working on dialogues with a partner and will be presenting those dialogues during class.

Students completed activities 4 and 6 during class and will be using them to assist in creating dialogues with a partner.  Be sure to complete any activity that has not been finished.

Make sure to print new number notes for our upcoming lesson.

All junior high students will be taking their Spanish Midterm.  Be sure to study the distributed review packets, workbook pages, notebooks and flashcards.  

Students will be taking their 6B assessment at our next class meeting.  Students should also have notebooks, workbooks and flash cards ready for collection.  They will be returned promptly to study for the midterm.  Students should not use 7A vocabulary for 2nd quarter flashcards.

Midterm review packets should be completed and ready for review when we return from the holiday break.

Students who did not finish reading pages 312 and 313 in class should do so for homework and be sure to complete the "Comprendes" portion of page 313 by organizing the sentences in proper order according to the story.  Students should also finish copying the new 7A vocabulary from page 342.

Present progressive test will be given on 12/20.

Complete wb pages 119 and 120.

Complete wb page 118.

Complete the distributed present progressive worksheet and complete wb page 117.

Students should complete the present progressive worksheet distributed in class and glue into the notebook.  Students have not been practicing pronunciation.  Make sure you are gluing in notes to the notebook, creating flashcards and practicing pronunciation.

Students will present their Oral/written presentations.

Students should copy the new present progressive notes on page 308 using the posted chapter.  Students should also complete activity 18 page 309.  Write out activity in the notebook.  Make sure that the posted notes are glued into the notebook.

Print out, read and glue new present progressive notes into the notebook.  View the grammar tutorial.

Students will be taking the affirmative tu command test.

Students should be prepared to take the Affirmative tu command test (informal commands).  Students should use workbook pages 114-116 and corresponding workbook pages and activities to study.  Review all chore vocabulary!

Don't forget that the brochure project is due on 12/6.

Students should be working on their written presentations.

Any student that did not complete or completed activity 8 (page 305) incorrectly should complete it in the notebook using the posted chapter.  Students should also complete workbook page 116. 

Students should print, read and glue in new affirmative tu command notes and have the chapter assessment signed and corrected.

Students should be sure to complete wb page 115.  We will be reviewing wb pages 114 and 115.

Students will be taking the 6B vocabulary quiz.

Students will be given a vocabulary quiz on chapter 6B

Make sure workbook pages 112 and 113 are completed in the wb.

Students should prepare to take their 6A assessment on 11/7.

Notebooks, workbooks and flashcards will be collected on November 2nd.

Students read the videohistoria from pages 300-301 and answered the true false questions from activity 3.  Students should have also copied the blue Nota boxes and the Tambien se dice boxes from pages 302 and 303.  Students should be sure to complete and write out activity 8 from TB page 304.  Workbook pages 112 and 113 should be completed by 11/1.

Be sure to have all the 6B vocabulary written into the notebook in preparation for our new unit.

Students will take the o:ue stem changing test on 10/27.

All wb pages to 111 should be completed at this point.  Study for Friday's stem changing test

Students should be sure to have the notes from page 284 in the textbook and activity 22 written into the notebook.  All notes should be printed and glued into the notebook.  Notes and powerpoint must be viewed and read.  Wb page 109 should be completed.  Any examples or questions from notes should also be completed.

Students will be taking their Comparatives test on 10/20.

Students should prepare themselves for our comparative forms test.

Students should complete the Equality worksheet and glue into notebook and wb page 108.

Students should complete the Comparisons worksheet distributed in class.

Students need to complete all examples found in the posted notes.

Complete wb page 107 and print out the posted notes and read all notes given.  I have posted the 6A chapter for further assistance.  Students should be able to give formula examples in class.

Ser and estar test corrections should be done and parent signatures are required for all tests.  Tests will be collected on Tuesday and returned before the midterm exam.  Students should be practicing their audio for pronunciation and creating flashcards.  

The distributed reading comprehension assessment is due.  It will be collected and graded.

Complete wb pages 103 and 104.

Students should complete wb pages 105 and 106.

Eighth graders should complete wb pages 103 and 104.  Students should also have their cities or regions of Spain prepared for the start of their travel brochure project.

Students need to print out the comparative forms notes, finish the 6A vocabulary in the notebook and complete wb pages 100-102.  Have a nice weekend.

Students should be checking the website every night regardless of email subscription.  Past assignments may be edited.

Students should be sure to study for the Ser and Estar test.  Friday is the Spanish test day.  I will be giving a vocabulary quiz on Friday, 10/6.

  Ser and Estar take home #2 (worksheet link).  Be sure to print out the additional Ser and Estar notes with usage chart and practice worksheet.  You can complete the practice worksheet on your free time.  Be sure to Study for Friday's test. 

Students should complete the take home assignment and complete wb page 99.

Students should be sure to complete the worksheet distributed in class and glue into the notebook.  Any students who has not printed or written their posted notes should do so before the next class meeting on 9/15.  Also, make sure to have the Hail Mary glued into the front cover of the notebook.

 

Be sure to print out notes and download power points.

All classes should print out the Hail Mary from the website and glue to the inside cover of the Spanish notebook.
