Once again this year we will have our annual Angel Tree of Giving. This is our 8th year of participation. In our fourth floor lobby stands our Christmas Angel Tree of Giving.
On the tree will be ornamental paper tags shaped like angels. On the back of each tag will be the name of a toy gift for either a boy or a girl of various age groups. On Monday, December 8th each teacher will come to the lobby and take a tag from the tree for their class.
Starting Thursday, December 4th are asking each student to donate $1.00 to $2.00 of their own money for the purchase of that gift. The approximate value of each class gift will be about $20.00 to $25.00. We will purchase the gifts for each class from an Amazon wish list. The gifts will be donated to the ACS Holiday Toy and Gift Drive
There is NO shopping that needs to be done on the part of any parent or teacher. All monetary donations will be collected starting Thursday, December 4th through Thursday, December 11th.
Christmas wreaths are hung on each classroom door and once the teacher has had the opportunity to select their tag, it will be hung from their classroom wreath to symbolize the joy of giving. This is a simple way to bring a little Christmas joy to families in need.
Many families inquired about making a separate donation from the wish list on Amazon. If you wish to make a personal toy donation, separate from the class collection, please use the attached link for gifts in a variety of different price ranges. They will be delivered directly to the school and placed under the tree with the class gifts.
