3rd Grade Special Ceremony Honoring St. Joseph
Greetings,
I kindly request that our 3rd Grade students take part in a special ceremony that honors all fathers and St. Joseph, our patron. As the head of the Holy Family, is seen as the protector of our Blessed Mother and our Savior Jesus Christ.
On Thursday, June 17th, we ask our 3rd Grade students to participate in a procession from the Grotto of Our Lady to the statue of St. Joseph on the patio of the convent. There we will honor St. Joseph with flowers, prayers and songs.
Dress Code:
All Third Grade students should arrive at school in their Communion attire (if possible). Students who did not make Communion should dress in appropriate formal dress attire . (See below)
If Communion attire is not possible, all students should come dressed in formal attire. No jeans, or sneakers.
Students who do not wish to wear their Communion attire or formal attire after the ceremony, may bring in their school gym uniform and sneakers to change.
Boys should wear a blue tie and girls should wear a blue ribbon, bow or headband.
Please no Communion veils.
-
If students wish to change out of Communion attire or formal attire, please send in a garment bag or appropriate bag (labeled with their name) to store their Communion/ Formal attire and dress shoes.
-
If they choose to remain in their Communion/ Formal attire, they should bring a large oversized shirt to wear over their clothing, as well as sneakers.
Please remember, shorts, sneakers, and jeans are not acceptable attire for the day.
The ceremony will be held outside and live streamed for families and students to watch. Links will follow.
