Principal's Message for 2021-2022 School Year

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at St. Joseph Hill Academy.  This marks our school's 102 year of providing a faith - filled education to the Staten Island community and begins my fifth year as Principal of the Elementary School.  It is with great pride that I reflect upon all that we have accomplished these last few years. Together as a school family, we celebrated our centennial, enhanced our curriculum and made changes to our facilities. We endured through a pandemic, supported each other and persevered. There is still more to be done and like everything else, we will do it.

This year, I am more excited than ever to see our students returning to school full time. Yes, there will be challenges and setbacks, but we learn and we grow. As a school family we have done what others believed was impossible, because we did it together. Our school family has grown to nearly 600 students with a faculty of fifty plus teachers and support staff. I am proud of the legacy we are building together, as we hold to the traditions that we value.

The faculty, staff and administration of St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary school proudly supports the mission of the Daughters of Divine Charity to make God’s love visible to all.

Our faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with a stellar education in a true blended learning environment that incorporates traditional education methods, along with innovative technology to support learning in a safe environment. In accordance with our mission statement, we prepare each student for a life of faith, service, and openness to life-long learning. Students PreK to 8 are nurtured in a Catholic tradition and are expected to go out and serve our community. They are encouraged to reach beyond their comfort zone as they take new courses, meet new friends and join new clubs and sports.

I wish you a happy, healthy, memorable, and productive year. Stay positive and keep smiling. Please know that I am always here for you.
