You all liked my presentation so much yesterday, so I made another one! Hope you enjoy. No assignment today, just read through the presentation.

Before we get into the individual food groups, I'd like you to answer this question based on what you already know. List at least 5 food items that are healthy and that can be included in a healthy diet.

1. Read the "Health Triangle Problems/Solutions" document. This has the problems that you brainstormed last week, some that I added in, and things you can do to help yourself in each health category.

2. Take the "Health Triangle Self-Assessment". Answer each question HONESTLY. If you find yourself answering a certain question dishonestly, you may want to look back at the "Health Triangle Problems/Solutions" document to see what kinds of things you can change in your everyday life to help make you a happier and healthier person!

This is going to be a collaboration assignment! You will all be editing the same document, so please make sure not to delete anyone's responses or type over anyone else.

PROMPT: Think of some problems that someone could have with their health. Remember that health is not just physical, but also mental/emotional, and also social.

Directions: Type one problem that a person can have with their health in each box. You must put at least one, but may contribute as many as you'd like. It is ok if there are repeats of the same thing, but try to think of one that isn't on the document yet! You do not need to label whether the problem is physical, mental/emotional, or social - I will do that for you on the final chart.

1. Read the Textbook pages (pp.70-71) Please make sure you read these pages. I made a typo and posted pp. 72-73 before. That is the second part of the lesson!
2. Complete the first slide and the PINK and PURPLE boxes of the second slide.

I know most of you were able to grab a Science Textbook before leaving school. I'd like to know who has one and doesn't have one

You will have until the end of the day today to complete this test.
This form will not save your responses as you go, so once you start it, you can't leave and then go back to it.

Make sure before you begin, that you have about 45-60 minutes of quiet, uninterrupted time to take the test (it's ok if it takes you less than 45 minutes or more than 60 minutes!). Good luck!

You should review your 3.1 notes and other attachments in the notes, the 3.1 textbook pages, the videos posted and the videos from BrainPop ("Heart", "Blood", and "Circulatory System").

This test will be on all 4 parts of the first lesson and will NOT include anything else from Chapter 3 (We haven't learned any of that yet!)

Welcome to our last unit: Body systems, health and nutrition! This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE unit to teach and I hope we can have as much fun learning it online as we would in the classroom.

First, we will start with the Circulatory System.

Read Chapter 3 Lesson 1 Part 1(3.1.1) (posted below). If you have a textbook at home, this can be found on pages 62-63. Then, complete the form and submit!

Meteorologist Project Part 4 (last part!!)

Pretend you are a Meteorologist reporting the weather on a local news station. Pick ONE of your cities to report the weather for and write a script that you would use to report the weather in that city. Make sure to include the forecast for the 3 days that you recorded.

Create a presentation: *Create a Google Doc or Google Slides on this assignment*
Make a presentation that goes along with your meteorologist script. Your presentation must include:
- The current season in your city
-A three day forecast on the weather in your city
-A title
-correct grammar/spelling
-at least 2 pictures, diagrams, and/or graphs
-a map that shows the city's location

For this part, you will be researching the current weather conditions for your two cities. You can use either of the two websites I have linked below, or you can choose your own! Watch the Part 3 Directions before you begin.

Meteorologist Project Part 2

Please fill in the information on the attached Google Doc for the cities you chose. If you do not remember what cities you chose last week, see the spreadsheet titled "Meteorologist Project Part 1 Responses" that is posted on Google Classroom. It is in alphabetical order by first initial, you must find your email address in the list.

Suppose you are an astronaut on Apollo 11 taking the very first trip to the Moon. Write a journal entry describing what you see when you arrive. Include what you see on the surface and what you see in the sky. You may also include what you may know about how it would feel to walk on the Moon

You will work in groups to create a poster about an assigned planet. Your poster should include the following:

- planet name
- a drawing of your planet
- place in solar system
- gas or rocky?
- history of its name/ how it got its name
- who discovered it and when
- miles from the sun
- number of moons
- how many days or years to orbit the sun
- does it have rings?
- at least 2 interesting additional facts

2. Using a piece of black construction paper and materials of your choosing (white crayon/colored pencil/chalk, string, stickers, etc.), illustrate your constellation.
