First grade is an exciting year filled with many challenges and many joys.

The children are taking a big step in the direction of independence.

Even though this is a long process, now is the time to start!

This is a fundamental grade; skills that are taught in first grade will affect your child throughout their lives.

One of our goals is to provide a framework of good study habits and organizational skills that will help your child now and in the future grades as well.

We look forward to a new rewarding year filled with laughter and many memories.

Christmas Fair Carnival Reminders

The Christmas Fair Carnival is right around the corner! There was such an overwhelming response to the volunteer sheet for this event. With over 100 volunteers, we will not be able to accommodate everyone. The committee will be sending out a Sign-up Genius form this week to fill all necessary slots. Fortunately parents are welcome to attend the Christmas Fair Carnival this year to shop and enjoy the time during their child's time slot. If you are volunteering, you will be covered during the time slot your child will be visiting and you will be free to enjoy the time together.

Just a friendly reminder that the deadline to order a ticket packet using Fair Share ($25 max) is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2nd.

Raffle baskets are welcome and very much appreciated. Raffle baskets are an exciting part of the Christmas Fair Carnival for the students. The winners will be awarded their prizes over announcements at school. If you wish to donate a raffle basket to the Christmas Fair Carnival, please email the committee at [email protected]

Thanks as always for your support!

Pie Drive and Donations

The Pie Drive Committee is happy to be partnering with Families of Military and Blue Star Families to give back this holiday season. Students are asked to donate $1-$3 of their own money towards this cause. Collection jars will be delivered to classrooms Monday morning. We thank our youngest helpers for their generosity!
